Summary/Abstract: The beginning of the healing of the human dignity from sin and disease, and of saving of mankind, is made by the Incarnation. This act is the beginning of the revelation of love, of its coming and work in the world. Through this act the Son of God takes our resemblance, humbles Himself „taking the very nature of a servant” (Phil 2:7); comes into the world. The Son of God does this for us, for the world, out of love for mankind. That is how we understand the words of our Saviour when He says „For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through him” ( John 3:16-17). The Incarnation itself is revelation of the divine way of life, the revelation of love. Incarnation extends the life of the Holy Trinity into mankind. It is divine love applied in man. As inside the Holy Trinity the divine Persons affirm each other, they emphasis each other through giving and receiving. Incarnation is somehow asked for by this law of love-life. The Son of God is made Man according to the divine law of love. The Christian ministration has a fundamental human dimension, as in Jesus Christ, God „made his dwelling among us” ( John 1:14). Christian ministration involves the fact that, by loving mankind and serving them, one fulfills the will of God, namely one serves Him. Ministering to people, we serve God, fulfilling His command: „A new command I give you: Love one another. As I have loved you, so you must love one another. By this everyone will know that you are my disciples, if you love one another.( John 13:34-35). Thus, God calls us to be his collaborators in His care towards us and our fellow human beings. Our whole effort in serving each other, is our cooperation with God (1 Corinthians 3:9).The deeds of spiritual and bodily mercy spring from our love of God and others, therefore, through social discipleship we mean the Church’s concern for its members’ social life, the ministration of the aspiration for the general progress of the human society in whose bosom It accomplishes Its work. Though the main mission of the Church is the healing of human dignity from disease and sin and the saving of Its members, the Church has always been concerned about the problems of the Faithful’s earthly life, as the Christian moves on towards redemption and grows in perfection through its concrete deeds towards people. All in all, the social discipleship is an update at the level of pastoral care and moral life of the Message of Our Lord, Jesus Christ, namely his Holy Gospel’s Message. The coinage social discipleship defines the practical and social ministering of the Church, based on Its divine commission of sending out into the world (Mathew 28:18-20; Mark 16:15-16; John 17:18; 20:21-23).
