THE MAIN SUBJECTS IN THE NEW CRIMINAL PROCEDURE CODE

Summary/Abstract: This paper proposes a comparative statement of the rights of the two main subjects in the criminal proceedings, the suspect and the injured party, following the entry into force of the new Code of Criminal Procedure. This paper focuses on a comparative perspective between explicit regulation of rights, similarities, differences and the reason of grouping together these subjects. The necessity for highlighting the distinction between the two concepts is given by the changes in the legislation that entered into force on 1 February 2014.
