Summary/Abstract: The phenomenon of euro-orphanhooh is something we can read about or hear in the media. Euro-orphan is a term used to describe a child whose parent or parents work abroad. The phenomenon includes not only disorders of child’s development but also family separation which affects all family members. Family is a great support for children. It gives a feeling of being save and sound. Nowadays a need of material welfare makes people to look for a job in foreign countries. Lonely children often loose their confidence and they can not find themselves in a new situation. Family separation affects young people’s behaviour. Children often have problems at school or can not communicate with their peers. Sometimes they act out behavioral roles. They want to be a substitute to their absent mother or father. This is a difficult problem and the after effects can appear in a long time.
