Summary/Abstract: The aim of the research was to obtain the answer to the research problem – does communication with a mother influence the popularity of an adolescent among peers? While conducting the research Parent Adolescent Communication Scale PACS and a classic sociometric technique by J.L. Moreno were used. The obtained results have not managed to establish unequivocally that satisfying communication with a mother influences both popularity as well as the lack of attractiveness of an adolescent in a school class and his favourable relations with peers.
