Assessment of the future employees of the tourism sector in the perspectives of the selected industry entities

Summary/Abstract: The aim of this study was to evaluate the vocational potential of students specializing in tourism and hospitality, as the future employees of the tourism sector. The assessment was made by the entities of tourist industry (where students’ practical working experience was realized) and focused on the individual characteristics of students, their skills and abilities crucial for employment in tourism and hospitality industry. The results of the study cannot be generalized, however they indicated on a very positive assessment of the tourism and hospitality undergraduates in practitioners’ perception. Discussion and directions for future research were also delivered.
