Summary/Abstract: The paper looks at the specific cyber threats that occur during the preparation of major sports events and in the course of such events. By taking the Olympic Games as a case study, it indicates the potential dangers posed by digital technologies used in sports and anticipates new possible threats that will arise as these technologies are implemented. A wide range of risks has been given: from direct impact on the course of sports competition to the reception of the event by the fans. Finally, proposals for combating cyber threats are presented.
