Genre-Thematic Features of the Films of Ukrkinchronics 2011-2013

Summary/Abstract: Purpose of the article. The study is connected with the study of the content of the studio "Ukrkinochronika" and the identification in its films of the synthesis of various genres, which is a characteristic trend in the development of the world cinema of the 21st century. The thematic palette of films of the period of 2011 and the beginning of 2013 is analyzed, creative techniques used in their creation are explored. Scientific novelty. For the first time in Ukrainian cinematography, the genre-thematic field of the films of the Ukrainian studio of chronicle and documentary films, created in the beginning of the XXI century, is investigated. Methodology of the study. Methodology. Using the method of empirical analysis of films and creative laboratories of filmmakers, the genre spectrum of contemporary Ukrainian documentary literature is explored. In work the principle of chronological sequence in the organization of film materials is observed. Conclusions. In the context of the concept of the chronotope of documentary films, a volumetric characteristic of the process of connecting genres was obtained. As a result of the analysis of the documentary films of the studio "Ukrkinochronika", the affiliation of the domestic filmmakers to the current world trends in the question of transgenic genres is confirmed. The manifestations of their mixed genre palette in the form of: ethno-fairy tale, film-portrait, military biographical film, film-discovery, drama, melodrama, comedy, documentary mystery, etc. The thematic vectors, pronounced in cultural and military-historical themes, themes about art, about outstanding personalities, as well as social and problem topics.
