THE MAIN TENDENCIES OF DEVELOPMENT OF VOCAL FESTIVALS-COMPETITIONS IN MODERN UKRAINE

Summary/Abstract: Purpose of the article is that Ukrainian song festivals-competitions are considered as means of formation and development of national culture. Methodology. In achieving this goal, the following research methods are used: historical, observation, interview, analysis, focus group discussions, periodization method. Scientific Novelty. The research is that Ukrainian song festivals-competitions are considered as means of formation and development of national culture. Conclusions. The study of the festival movement in Ukraine gives an opportunity to see how the national song culture is being formed and developing.
