Summary/Abstract: The text analyses an interesting phenomenon: commentary in poetic form that appears frequently in online discussion forums. What causes the participants in the discussions to switch to poetic means of expression? Why, in some cases, are verses and rhymes saturated with obscene words and hate speech? The use of such language tactics complicates the relationship between the media and their publics, as it opens opportunities for creativity and resistance to imposed norms.
