Summary/Abstract: This article aims to raise awareness of the notion of stereotyping both as a positive and a negative aspect of our daily lives, as it plays a key role in our cognitive process of perceiving other persons. Stereotypes have become a tool used for filtering information and have a huge impact on how we interact with each other. This judgemental issue is not new, it has been and will be perpetuated from generation to generation as it is deeply-rooted in our history. We have the tendency to think, directly or indirectly, and assume before we process all the information, we categorize and prejudge, we create our own image that suits our beliefs best and the worst part is that we do so unconsciously.
