Exclusion of lands from agricultural production in communities adjacent to the big city

Summary/Abstract: The paper presents qualitative data on exclusion of Ist-IIIrd soil quality classes' lands from agricultural production. The exclusions of lands were performed between 1995-2009 in three communes adjacent to the big city - Wroclaw: Czernica, Długołęka and Siechnice. Moreover, the research on exclusions of land and land-use changes during 2001-2009 are presented with use of cartographic modeling. Spatial distribution of the exclusions and land-use changes are presented in relation to the planned road investments and local spatial management plans.
