Art Education in Terms of the Scientific and Technical Museum

Summary/Abstract: Purpose of the Article. To outline the activities of fine arts expert at the scientific and technical museum, who conducts classes in fine art and music. The research aims to analyse the process of incorporation of the history of art, science and engineering at the modern museum in the context of improvement of professional training of the teaching staff of museum experts. To explore the problems of establishment and development of a ten years activity of Zaporozhye Museum gallery of applied ceramics and artistic creativity of Ilya and Alexey Burley, where the lectures “My profession is an engineer of technical creativity”. Also, the article defines a creative approach to the study of the history of art of science and engineering at the museum. The methodology of the study consists in the combination of art studies method, concrete-historical, logical-analytical and historical-cultural methods. Scientific Novelty. For the first time, the activity of museum expert at the modern regional museum of the technical profile is analysed. The issues of inclusion of museum exhibitions in the process of transfer of cultural values, which form the principles and methods of museum pedagogics, are outlined. The technological conditions of transfer of cultural values using artistic methods as an example of art creativity of A.P. Burley have been studied. Conclusions. The analysis of art study methods used for realization of the author’s project “Museum and school” which has been realized since 2010 and is designed for ten years (2010-2020) gives grounds for exposure of influence of art study methods on the development of the creative potential of a personality or the groundwork of new creative thinking. The project has been realised at the museum-gallery established at the beginning of the XXI century with the aim of preservation of historical inheritance in art study and museology. The groundwork of the project is the preservation of the artistic culture of the region. The process of historical formation of museum exhibitions, growing interest for the conservation of cultural heritage of the Ukrainian people, remembrance of the past today gains an impetus as a significant cultural and artistic potential. The problem of the graphic and creative content of museum exhibitions at the regional museums of the technical profile of Ukraine calls for additional research.
