Social activity of the late adulthood generation - needs, challenges, threats

Summary/Abstract: Ageing process of the population and the prolongation of human life should be accompanied, according to the activity theory, by the longer social productivity in its different forms. Changes in the preferred life style and a model of the contemporary family generate a risk of deepening living deficits of the elderly, such as loneliness, solitude, reduction of the social roles. The aim of the article is to discuss the possibilities and limits for popularizing education on the aging and promotion of knowledge about healthy ageing, support of professional activity persons of immobile age, motivation to individual self-protection against old age deficits
