INTERNATIONAL MEVLANA FOUNDATION'S CONTRIBUTION TO MEVLANA AND MUSIC AS A NON-GOVERNMENTAL ORGANIZATION (NGO)

Summary/Abstract: The International Mevlana Foundation is established on 14 March 1996 in Istanbul under the spiritual leadership of Celâleddin Bâkır Çelebi. The purpose of the foundation was established to explain the teachings and ideas of the great thankful, scholar and poet Hazrat Mevlana to the whole world. The foundation also provides services in the programs that should be done for Hz.Mevlana. Faruk Hemdem Çelebi is the President of the Foundation and Esin Çelebi Bayru is the Vice President. One of the most important projects of the Foundation is a “Sema” as Mevlevi Music. The first of these projects is in places where “Sema” and Mevlevi Music is not preserved. This project is being researched by UNESCO, and the place and place of Mevlana in the transfer of Mevlana's ideas to the next generation and the introduction of Turkish music in this paper. For the first time in an international symposium, the International Mevlana Foundation is a non-governmental organization (NGO).
