The Problematics of Ballroom Dance Stylization

Summary/Abstract: Purpose of Article. A central goal of the work is to consider the problem of ballroom dance stylization. Methodology of the research work is to apply the method of reconstruction to the subject of the selection of techniques and methods of styling in ballroom choreography. Scientific Novelty. The attempt to consider the problem of stylization in the context of ballroom choreography was firstly conduct within the particular study. The attention was pointed on the importance and complexity of the certain problem solving according to the ballroom dance unlike folk and modern choreography because of the reason that the last one stage is closely connected with the standardization within the sport context in the context of the present day. Conclusions. The main elements of ballroom dance stylization have been revealed during the mentioned research which claims that, from the one side, base as a set of rhythms and movements (depends on kind), and from the other one is creativity and improvisation of choreographer and performers which are very often lead by the eclectic combination of elements of a conceptual matrix of ballroom stylizations (ideas, themes, plot, music, individual factor, vocabulary, stage context).
