Summary/Abstract: Divan by Hafiz Shirazi, a Persian poet from XIV century, is one of the most important collections of love poetry in the Persian and the overall literary tradition of the Oriental-Islamic cultural circle. Ever since Divan was written, the issue of its genre has been discussed. Some consider Hafiz’s poetry to be of love lyric genre, others consider it to be Sufi poetry, whereas often the possibility of its dual interpretation within both these genres is recognized. This paper provides an analysis of the reception of Hafiz’s Divan in the literary-historical and literary-criticism work of three eminent Bosniak Iranists: Safvet-beg Bašagić, Fehim Bajraktarević and Bećir Džaka.
