Summary/Abstract: This section is a translation of the last part (pp.145-154) of the book called Interpreting the Qur’ân: Towards a Contemporary Approach. Although this section does not have it, we considered to give this title to the translation, taking into account both the general theme of the book and its last part. We have translated this section of the book as the model of interpretation mentioned was presented in it. Actually it will be seen that the method offered by the author who considers himself being among contextualists, is inspired from the” Double Movement” of Fazlur Rahman. It can be said that this method explained in detail in this section, keeping the basic approach in the ” Double Movement”. However criticisms on the main elements of the ” Double Movement” in the various studies will also be held for the suggestions in the same section. Certainly, the paper which translated doesn’t contain completely Saeed’s views on the subject; nevetheless it gives an idea about the issues that he mentioned throughout the book and briefly offers the model of interpretation that he views important.
