Criminal Liability of Medical Professionals

Summary/Abstract: The Medical profession is creativity where science, art and technique combine. But above all it’s a human activity. The mistakes in medicine are not a new phenomenon, they have always been a natural accompaniment of medical practice. Undoubtedly there is a need to increase the deontological and legal knowledge of medical activities – the rights, obligations and responsibilities of the specialists. The purpose of this article is to make the reader acquainted with the current Bulgarian legislation concerning the crimes with a possible subject a “medical specialist” and to offer suggestions for some specific changes.
