Advantages and disadvantages of marriage in the views   and beliefs of unmarried women

Summary/Abstract: The issue addressed in the publication has been placedwithin a qualitative methodology framework. The study involved 38 unmarried women aged 35-42.  The aim of the research is to understand the advantages and disadvantages of marriage in the perception of women is not functioning in the social role of his wife. The study used a variation of a case study, ie. The biographical method. The material was obtained using a modified technique. autobiographical‐narrative interview.  The women behind the advantages of marriage recognized: profits arising from the operation of the social role of his wife, a greater sense of stability and security, economic benefits, the right to information about the partner is not subject to any authorizations and the opportunity to start sexual intercourse. The marriage tested for defects considered, among others: the difficulty of its end, too much responsibility, restriction of liberty, the prose of life, boredom, lack of freedom, the need to agree on everything with your spouse, predictability and lack of time for yourself.
