Family and Education for Safety

Summary/Abstract: The family plays an important role in the society. It serves the primary role in the development of all forms of social life, including its contribution to individual and  national safety. The family can and should rear and socialise its young and adult members so that they can take action to neutralise any factors that are a threat to the safety of persons, groups and the society. One of the basic conditions for individual development is the fulfillment of the need for safety. Education for safety should be a vital part  of the didactic-educational process carried out by the family, the school, and the state.  The main purpose of pedagogy of safety is to provide the pupil with the skills necessary to properly take care of herself and others, as well as giving her the ability to cope with both known and unexpected threats. The family should bring children up to take responsibility for the life and health of individuals and societies.
