Summary/Abstract: Zenkő Bogdán’s essay is a short rewriting of the opening and closing passages of her master’s thesis, defended at the Faculty of Theatre and Film at the Babeş-Bolyai University. It is also an introduction to the critical analysis of the management strategies of independent performing arts institutions, from the perspective of sustainable activity. The text is also a kind of manifesto, in which the author makes a proposal on how it would benefit performing arts institutions if artistic and cultural administration would receive an increased emphasis within higher education.
