Summary/Abstract: Neurophysiological learning, or Brain Based Learning, which is one of the rising values of recent years, has been the subject of many researches. In this type of researches, it is aimed to examine the cognitive skills and emotional states that constitute the back ground of brain-based learning. Hafiz is the memorization of the whole Quran. In our study, the effect of hafiz of Quran training on the brain and the effect of brain infrastructure on hafiz of Quran were examined. Our aim is to examine the basic parameters of formal education and memory education in terms of the following parameters and to analyze the relationships between them; We analysed the relationship between cognitive abilities such as Continuous Attention (COG), Selective Attention (SIGNAL), Reasoning Ability (SPM), Visual Memory (TAVTMB), Response Rate-Quality (DT) and emotional states (CDICARS). DT, SPM, COG, SIGNAL, TAVTMB tests in the Vienna Computerized Test System were used to measure response-quality, nonverbal intelligence, continuous attention and selective attention, and also to assess emotional states with anxiety and depression scales (ÇABTÖ and CDI). Results were analyzed with SPSS statistics program. It was found that DT, DT time, SPM, SIGNAL time and TAVTMB values increased significantly after pre-training (p <0,05). As a result, it was found that the cognitive skills of the students increased after memorizing the Quran. This elevation was thought to be associated with neurophysiological learning. Morover, memory training on hafis of quran has a positive effect on other cognitive abilities.
