DEMOGRAPHIC CHARACTERISTICS OF SARUHANLI DISTRICT

Summary/Abstract: The population of the settlements is constantly on the move. In the process, the population of some settlements is increasing while some of them are decreasing. This situation reveals the human and physical geography features of that place. One of the districts that have a tendency to increase the population is Saruhanlı, which is the subject of research. Saruhanlı is a district of Manisa province which is located within the boundaries of the Aegean Region of the Aegean Region. The purpose of the study is to reveal the population values of Saruhanlı after the administrative status of the district and to explain the reasons of the population losses in the district. For this purpose, we tried to complete the study by taking advantage of the values obtained from the General Population Census with the ABPRS. As a result of the study, it was revealed that the district suffered constant population loss. It was determined that most of these losses occurred due to economic factors
