Summary/Abstract: The Galatians, which the Greeks call the "Celt", the Romans call it "Wales", are the first known indigenous people of Northern Europe. Indo-European Galatians are known by their fighter and invader identities from the 4th century BC. When exposed to the pressures of German tribes from the north, they initiated a massive migration movement, first to Macedonia, then to Greece and Anatolia. Galatians, who wanted to benefit from the richness of Anatolia, moved easily to Anatolia as a result of their interests with Bithynia's King Nikomedes I, and helped the political balances in Anatolia to change and develop in favor of the Kingdom of Bithynia in the 3rd century BC. In this study, the identity of Galatians, the reasons of the migration movements and the invasions they started and the effects on the political structure of Anatolia were tried to be revealed.
