Summary/Abstract: The present study, entitled Religious and Conscious Freedom in Public Mentality Through the Perspective of Our Lord Jesus Christ’s Crucifixion, is considering in proposing an alternative to the classic approach regarding religious and consciousness rights. Jesus Christ’s trial and His crucifixion captures a complex of circumstances and elements in which we find abundantly the issues of religious freedom, freedom of conscience, and, last but not least, of public mentality. Due to this, we have decided in this study to highlight the above mentioned in the biblical text by using them as a reality that will determine our research on today’s rights and on the power of the public mentality. In this context, the study begins with a more elaborate introduction to authority and freedom and how they are managed by those concerned. This introduction prepares the climate in which we will develop the basic ideas of religion and conscience. These ideas are the following: the conscience and religiosity of the crowd, the empire of instigation and the crowd, and the true relationship between law, legislator and the public conscience. Subdivision instead of conclusions concludes the circle of our approach regarding religious and conscience rights, proving that the contemporary struggle for these is a late replica of the theatre of abuse and injustice committed in the trial of our Lord Jesus Christ.
