Summary/Abstract: If we consider the relatively long period of academic discourse in the field of Comparative Arts, two approaches seem to be the most productive from the methodological perspective: firstly, methods operating in the field of semiotic correlations, and secondly, methods drawing on the concept of cultural representations. This methodological basis enabled us to realize the comparative analysis of literary and visual depictions of Salome as one of important cultural and artistic representations of the fin-de-siècle period.
