STARA ZAGORA INTERNAL REGIONAL MIGRATION – CURRENT STATE AND TRENDS

Summary/Abstract: Migration issues are particularly relevant in recent years, both for the EU as a whole and for individual Member States, Bulgaria in particular. In an attempt to clarify some of the main reasons for the existing migratory processes in Stara Zagora region, we aimed at exploring the current state of migration and outlining the possible future intra- migration trends in the region. The present analysis allows us to conclude that urgent measures should be taken to overcome the unfavorable trends of the internal migration processes in Stara Zagora region.
