Summary/Abstract: The aim of the study is to present an empirical identification of how bothhearing employees and employees with hearing disabilities perceive their worksituation. Research studies to date have identified only differences in the opinions voiced by employees in these two categories regarding various aspects ofwork, such as organisation, work assignment, and job and employee assessment. The article presents innovative studies applying the tools of multidimensional analysis in HRM to provide an in-depth analysis. It also identifiesdifferences in perception of work in selected dimensions: abstraction (philosophies, policies, sets of practices) and internalisation (routine and experience)of HRM. This is followed by a statistical verification of the co-occurrence ofthese two dimensions. The findings presented reveal radical differences inperception of the work situation, as well as the full scope and close correlationof practices with HRM internalisation. This means that the two worlds ofopinion about work emerge at the level of assessment of instrumental assumptions (the dimension of HRM policies), but they diverge dramatically in practice. This provides the grounds for conducting integrated social studies pertaining to the development of effective tools for creating at the workplacepro-social work situations for people with disabilities.
