Summary/Abstract: Citizen journalism has become, in this era, a significant research subject for communication professionals and quite a few other types of specialists. The information explosion we have been undergoing in the past two decades and the continuous releases of new technology that is user-friendly for any kind of individual, no matter their educational or professional background, give the phrase "freedom of speech" a universal connotation. However, a few questions related to social responsibility have arisen that have not yet received a clear answer and that remain in discussion at the green table of theoretical negotiations: What are the limits that the citizen-journalist should respect when instantly conveying, by pressing a button in the virtual world, information that he feels responsible to share with an entire world? And who or what establishes these boundaries? Morals? Ethics? Censorship? Self-censorship?
