Summary/Abstract: Sreten Vukosavljević was esteemated from the most outstanding contemporary Yugoslav sociologists as the most expressive representative of traditional sociology, although it is underlined that his work is transitional, because since him it started to develop modern rural sociology in Yugoslavia, or, more exactly, dominantly in the Serbo-Croatian area.
