MİZAH BAĞLAMINDA SABİT İLE NEDİM’İN RAMAZANİYELERİ
SABIT’S AND NEDIM’S RAMAZANIYE IN THE CONTEXT OF HUMOR

Summary/Abstract: A society’s religious, social and spiritual life can be reflected in its literary works. Two of these reflections, which are “Ramadan” and “feasting”, are employed as a social and literary matter as well as a matter of religion. Besides, Ramadan has been a source of public entertainment by means of jokes or low comedy. Most of the poems of Ramadan which occupy an important position in Turkish Literature are also accompanied by music that are specifically composed for them; thus, they contribute to an exquisite beauty in Turkish music, as well. Therefore; in this study, Sabit and Nedim’s Ramazaniye will be comparatively examined and their humorous expressions are going to be focused.
