Summary/Abstract: In the period 2011-2012, Multimedia Foundation & SNSPA hasconducted a research project about the civic participation of Romania. The data is available on the website of www.infopolitic.ro. Subsequently, the project was resumed for comparison - in 2016 we’ve resumed a part of the questionnaire applied four years ago, to see to what extent the main conclusions on the state of Romania participatory culture are still the same. Trends are interesting and this article is dedicated to analyse these developments on participatory culture in Romania. The conclusions are even more relevant in the current context, marked by street protests in Romania, confirming research data on growth in terms of political participation. But what happens with the other elements of participation– civic, community, electoral?
