Summary/Abstract: Today there is no uniquely accepted definition of the concept of social deviations because according to various theoretical approaches to these social phenomena there are also varied determinations of this notion. However there are some elements of definitions that are not controversial and as such are universally accepted. The object of research is the notion of social deviations. The purpose of this paper is to develop the meaning of the notion of social deviations in scientific literature. The author in this paper explores the notion of social deviations and talk about of the prevention of deviant behavior (general program of prevention and special prevention program).
