Summary/Abstract: Theory of history is directed to the following essential ontological contents: consideration of history; community and human nature and norms; knowledge, practice and pragmatism; evaluation and morals. On the basis of these history is defined as a subject in the sense of totality of knowledge, sentiments, values and goals immanent to the historical events - changes. Hisoriography and sociology as the sciences dealing with different layers of history and historism must orientate themselves to ontological, and not to ideological option.
