Summary/Abstract: The article examines the place and role of Albania in the policies of the Great Powers and neighbouring Balkan countries during the First World War. Emphasis is placed on the deployment of the Entente troops and the establishment of the Autonomous Albanian Republic of Korçë by the French wartime administration.
