Summary/Abstract: The social and cultural dynamics in the course of the last two decades in European societies have resulted in an increasing role of regions in all aspects of social life, particularly in culture, as shown by some unportant projects and studies, among which the most significant has been Culture and Regions of Europe, a project initiated by the Department of Culture of the Council of Europe.
