Infiltration of the Polish Catholic Church by the communist secret service – what do we already now? Information on the state of research

Summary/Abstract: Paweł Skibiński, historian, presents in his article the state of research on the collaboration of the Catholic priests with the communist regime’s secret service. The author introduces us also to the numerous publications on that issue and shows how discrepant the scale of the collaboration is estimated. Skibiński sums up the explanations of the collaboration given by the other authors. He lists the questions still requiring answers and underlines the necessity of the further research of this issue which has still not been investigated enough.
