Summary/Abstract: In his Einführung in die Textlinguistik Eugenio Coseriu wrote: “Accordingly, this means reducing the content, which has already been understood, to a particular expression in order to show that the signifié of the macro-sign in the text corresponds to a specific expression. In this regard text linguistics, as treated here, is interpretation, a hermeneutic act (Coseriu, 1980: 151). This article intends to show with the help of a pertinent example how this conception of text linguistics can be realized by the translator.
