Summary/Abstract: The study presents management’s opinions on conditions and factors influencing economic efficiency in industrial enterprises. The analysis included production companies listed on the Warsaw Stock Exchange. More than half of the respondents indicated that market conditions determine tendencies and the level of economic efficiency in their enterprises. The internal conditions occurring in the company, related to management, organisation, technology and sales were less important in this respect. The diversity of respondents’ opinions concerning the importance of particular factors in shaping the level of economic efficiency indicates that the management of a company in this respect is of a complex nature
