A different compromise. Some remarks on the previous history of the saxon congress 1890

Summary/Abstract: The saxon congress (Sachsentag) that took place in Hermannstadt (Sibiu) the 17th June 1890 made possible a compromise (Ausgleich) between the saxon national party (sächsische Volkspartei) and the Hungarian government. The three letters published here sheds light on the background of this compromise. They were written by Dr. Karl Wolff, a prominent representative of the Transylvanian Saxons, between April and July 1890. Includes one picture.
