Summary/Abstract: This paper discusses publication from 1902, entitled Calvary Ways or a Prayer Book for the Service of Pilgrims Visiting Kalwarya Zebrzydowska, with the Addition of a Story about the Miraculous Image of the Mother of God, Placed in the Side Chapel, and the History of the Monastery and Church. The article aims to support the thesis that the presented prayer book, reminiscent of the previous pilgrimage traditions and intended especially for lay people to help them deepen their religious experience, is an extremely important literary, historical and cultural testimony. The content analysis of the eight corrected edition published by the Bernardine Fathers Monastery in Kalwaria Zebrzydowska was carried out. The book was compiled and arranged by Father Stefan Podworski, the then custodian of the monastery. For several generations the copy remained in possession of the Master family from Łękawica, a village located between two religious centres and important pilgrimage destinations: Wadowice and Kalwaria Zebrzydowska.
