Summary/Abstract: The State Pharmaceutical Inspectorate was appoint to realise the tasks of a special inspection on the pharmaceutical market. It has a complex structure, based on the principles of centralization and deconcentration, which is made up of a central government administration authority – the Chief Pharmaceutical Inspector, and the territorial authorities – governors with the assistance of voivodship pharmaceutical inspectors. The object of this article is to present the systemic character of the authorities included in the generally recognized State Pharmaceutical Inspection. It is also important to determine the content of the organizational and functional link connecting entities carrying out the tasks of the Pharmaceutical Inspection, because the legislator does not call the expressis verbis link. In addition, the internal organization of the State Pharmaceutical Inspection was presented. The summary of the article is an indication of the areas requiring the commencement of legislative work, so that the bodies of the State Pharmaceutical Inspectorate perform in a real and proper manner the public tasks to which they are called.
