Summary/Abstract: After the end of the First World War, the Kingdom of Bulgaria experienced its second national catastrophe in less than a decade. The Bulgarian Orthodox Church is doing everything it can to help its suffering parish in these difficult years of testing the faith and power of the Bulgarian spirit. Provadia enters the Varna and Preslav dioceses, which at that time was consecutively headed by Metropolitan Bishop Simeon (1872-1937) and Metropolitan Bishop Joseph (1937-1988). These two spiritual leaders do everything in their power to relieve and support the life of Provadians during the period under consideration.
