Parliamentary dimension of the development cooperation.

Summary/Abstract: The article provides an overview of the actions undertaken to enhance the development of the parliaments worldwide. The paper begins with a brief presentation of the activities of the international organizations focused on strengthening the role of parliaments and the capacity of the parliamentary institutions in developing countries and countries in transition. The article also provides information about the bilateral cooperation projects and the platforms of cooperation for parliaments at different levels of development. The article concludes with the proposition of actions the Polish Sejm could undertake in this area.
