Summary/Abstract: The aim of this article is to present the utilization by state schools of higher vocational education European funds available in three successive programming periods. The author formulated the hypothesis that the scale of absorption of EU funds by schools varies greatly, which leads to a situation in which a number of projects are concentrated in only a few universities that specialize in a certain sense in raising external funds. This hypothesis has been verified by analyzing the number and value of projects co-financed from EU funds, namely ERDF, ESF and the CF, which have been implemented in 2004–2017 (or are still being implemented – in the case of projects in the programming period 2014–2020) by the universities under study.
