Summary/Abstract: Maintaining parental ties in situations when the biological family has been disintegrated or disconnected, or when the child has been placed in temporary foster care or has been adopted, sometimes is an issue of great importance for the proper development of the child. The thesis talks about the legal protection of the child’s relationship with parents under the European Convention of Human Rights in a situation when the relevant authorities have permitted an adoption of the child.
