Summary/Abstract: The subject of the article is an international mediation in international parental child abduction cases, which aims to alleviate disputes between parents on the background of childcare. The statistics showing the scale of the phenomenon of international child abduction cases in the European Union are at the background of the consideration. The mediation procedure and its legal basis have been presented on the basis of the achievements of the Hague Conference on Private International Law and the European Union in this field.
