Terrorism in Criminal Code

Summary/Abstract: Inspired by the judgement of the late professor S. Pikulski, the article points out a number of problems encountered when attempting to establish a definition of terrorism that would encompass all aspects of this complex and multifaceted phenomenon. It also presents regulations of the Polish Criminal Code, introduced largely as a result of implementing rules of international law, which might constitute measures of addressing a perpetrator of a terrorist crime. Finally, the article stresses the importance of counteracting terrorism.
