Summary/Abstract: This article presents a few tales about the past of Gračanica. Our storytellers are: Muhamed Moralić, born in 1883, Halil Čubrilović, born in 1890, Mehmedalija Trepanić, born in 1902, Fatima Trepanić, previously Moralić, born in 1909 and Osman Karahasanović, born in 1915. We can freely say that these tales were recorded a long time ago. The first tale was written down half a century ago, in 1972, and the last tale was recorded 25 years ago in 1993. Our storytellers were deemed as knowledgeable people when it comes to the past of Gračanica. Most of them were very old when these recordings were made, respectively, in the tenth decade of their lives.
