Summary/Abstract: In this commentary we will address the role of Oriental mysticism in the formal and substantial dimension in the poetry of Vexhi Buhara. Buhara's acquaintance with Oriental philosophy, culture and literature left traces of his poetic creations, though in a modest number. There are few poems in the literary legacy of Buhara, only those that belong to the period 1940-43, published in the periodical of that time. Afterwards, his friend Ahmet Kondo was the one who would collect them in the monograph "Vexhi Buharaja, the man, the poet, the scholar, 1920-1987" dedicated to this figure. One can see clearly the approach of Buhara’s poetical text to the Persian Sufism, which is also the main source of all the philosophical and religious treated there. Through this mystical-oriental point of view, our poet metaphorized his poetic ideas on various life, religious, and philosophical issues, but always adapting to his creative and spiritual individuality. This creative individuality is seen not only in how the poet Vexhi Buharaja borrows ideas from Sufism but also transforms them into the function of his own subjective and emotional use. Also Buhara’s message in his poetry is realized thanks to the sublimation of his personal experience. Therefore all these elements together consist of the originality of the Buharjan mysticism. The methods followed here are those of synthesis and comparative analysis, which are used in order to see the influence of the Persian philosophy, literature and culture in the poetry of Vexhi Buhara.
